Post maximum light and late time optical imaging polarimetry of type I superluminous supernova 2020znr

چکیده
ABSTRACT Optical imaging polarimetry was conducted on the hydrogen poor superluminous supernova 2020znr during three phases after maximum light (≈ +34 d, +288 and +289 d). After instrumental interstellar polarization correction, all measurements are consistent with null-polarization detection. Modelling curve a magnetar spin-down model shows that SN2020znr has similar ejecta parameters to other SLSNe. A comparison of best-fitting values discussed in literature SN 2017egm 2015bn, two SLSNe showing an increase light, suggests higher mass may prevent access geometry inner optical polarimetry. The combined information provided by spectroscopy light-curve analysis type I be interesting avenue categorize properties this class transients. This approach would require expand sample data currently available early late time epochs new measurements.

We present DES14X3taz, a new hydrogen-poor superluminous supernova (SLSN-I) discovered by the Dark Energy Survey (DES) supernova program, with additional photometric data provided by the Survey Using DECam for Superluminous Supernovae. Spectra obtained using Optical System for Imaging and low-IntermediateResolution Integrated Spectroscopy on the Gran Telescopio CANARIAS show DES14X3taz is an SL...
متن کاملSpectrum formation in Superluminous Supernovae ( Type I )
The near-maximum spectra of most superluminous supernovae that are not dominated by interaction with a H-rich CSM (SLSN-I) are characterised by a blue spectral peak and a series of absorption lines which have been identified as O II. SN 2011kl, associated with the ultra-long gamma-ray burst GRB111209A, also had a blue peak but a featureless optical/UV spectrum. Radiation transport methods are u...
متن کاملType Ia Supernova Light Curves
The diversity of Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) photometry is explored using a grid of 130 one-dimensional models. It is shown that the observable properties of SNe Ia resulting from Chandrasekhar-mass explosions are chiefly determined by their final composition and some measure of “mixing” in the explosion. A grid of final compositions is explored including essentially all combinations of Ni, stabl...
متن کاملLong-duration Superluminous Supernovae at Late Times
We present nebular-phase observations and spectral models of Type Ic superluminous supernovae. LSQ14an and SN 2015bn both display late-time spectra similar to SN 2007bi, and the class shows strong similarity with broad-lined Type Ic SNe such as SN 1998bw. Near-infrared observations of SN 2015bn at +315d show a strong Ca II triplet, O I 9263, O I 1.13 μm and Mg I 1.50 μm, but no strong He, Si or...
